Final farewell for much loved warden

Ardsley & Robin Hood Councillor Karen Renshaw has heaped praise upon Sonia Smith who has finally retired after working as a warden for the residents living at Westerton Walk for the past 18 years.

Sonia previously worked at Eastleigh Sheltered Housing until 1989 where she then moved on to Westerton Walk.

Many social celebrations have taken place over the past week to celebrate the retirement of Sonia, ending with a farewell party held by the residents to show their appreciation for all her help over the years.

Her goodwill and services to this community will be missed by all. “Everyone wishes Sonia and Dennis a long and happy retirement which is well earned. I hope that she retains links with the residents who have appreciated all her good services.”
